Manchester United caretaker manager Michael Carrick has picked his side to face Villarreal in the 17:45 GMT kick-off in the Champions League.

There are four changes to the XI that lost so disappointingly at Watford on Saturday, which proved to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's final match in charge.

Alex Telles, Fred, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial replace Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
