Wednesday 10 July 2024 17:00

The kick-off time for Manchester United's home game against Liverpool has been finalised by the Premier League.

The latest fixture update has scheduled the eagerly anticipated encounter for 16:00 BST on Sunday 1 September.

The date of the clash with our north-west rivals had already been arranged, as part of the release of a batch of televised matches for 2024/25.

All the angles: Amad's amazing FA Cup winner against Liverpool.

Earlier that day, Chelsea face Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge and Newcastle United meet Tottenham in the north east.

Both of those games will kick off at 13:00 BST, with the St James' Park affair due to be shown live on Sky Sports, as is our contest with Liverpool.

In last season's meetings with the Merseysiders, we drew 0-0 at Anfield in the league in December, with Diogo Dalot sent off late on.

Nobody will ever forget the Emirates FA Cup quarter-final tie at Old Trafford, which Erik ten Hag's side won 4-3 after extra time, on our way to lifting the trophy. Amad netted the sensational last-gasp winner before he was shown a second yellow card for his celebration.

In the league game shortly afterwards, honours were even after a 2-2 draw. Luis Diaz's opener was overturned by crackers from Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo, only for Mohamed Salah to equalise with a penalty, six minutes from time.

WHEN ARE UNITED NEXT IN ACTION?

The Reds will return to the pitch on 15 July, when we face Rosenborg in Trondheim for our first pre-season game. Following a friendly against Rangers at Murrayfield, Edinburgh on 20 July, we'll fly out to the United States for Tour 2024, presented by Snapdragon, comprising three clashes with Arsenal (Los Angeles, 27 July), Real Betis (San Diego, 31 July) and Liverpool (Columbia, 3 August). You can buy tickets for all of our pre-season games here, subject to availability.
