Clinton retains Women's Player of the Month award
Manchester United midfielder Grace Clinton is the October winner of our Women’s Player of the Month award, presented by Estee Lauder.
The England international, who previously claimed September’s prize, has now won the supporters' accolade in each of the first two months of the Reds’ campaign.
It is just reward for what has been an impressive start to life in Skinner’s side for Clinton, who made her United debut on the opening day of the season after returning from a successful loan spell at Tottenham.
Netting the opening goal in the third of our three October fixtures, a 1-1 draw at Brighton, was the highlight of Grace’s latest award-winning month.
The midfielder timed her run brilliantly to meet Celin Bizet’s cross from the right and finish past ex-Reds goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley, with a well-executed first-time attempt.
That goal was her third of the term for the club as the 2022 summer signing continues to make an impact following fruitful loan spells at Bristol City and Tottenham in the last two seasons.
Earlier in October, Clinton showed her quality in a solid substitute cameo against Liverpool and helped Marc Skinner’s side to defeat her former club Spurs.

Our no.8 earned 38 per cent of all supporters’ selections in our latest Women’s Player of the Month poll on ManUtd.com and the United app.
That was enough for Grace to finish ahead of fellow nominees Elisabeth Terland (28%), Phallon Tullis-Joyce (17%) and Celin Bizet (16%), after their own honourable October contributions.
Thank you to everyone who voted and congratulations to Grace.
