United stars react to thrilling Barcelona clash
Manchester United players reflected on our all-action Europa League play-off tie against Barcelona on social media, after the two sides played out an enthralling 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp on Thursday.
United rose to the occasion of our highly anticipated return to European action in an end-to-end contest, which saw Erik ten Hag’s men quickly overturn a one-goal deficit through Marcus Rashford’s strike and Jules Kounde’s own goal, before being pegged back again, as we were forced to settle for a draw in Catalonia.
All four goals came in the space of 26 breathless second-half minutes and given the topsy-turvy nature of the game – which saw both sides create plenty of chances – there were understandably mixed emotions among the Reds after the game.

Marcus Rashford epitomised that reaction as he confessed his pride at joining an exclusive group of players to have scored for United against Barça at Nou Camp – now sitting alongside Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole in that bracket – but remained frustrated not to have taken a win away from Catalonia.
