Rashford reacts to Ronaldo goals
Marcus Rashford was delighted to see Cristiano Ronaldo mark his Manchester United return with a brace against Newcastle United.
In true Ronaldo fashion, our no.7, of course, found the back of the net twice during his comeback appearance at the Theatre of Dreams.
Rashford, unavailable for our meeting with Newcastle as he’s continuing his recovery following his shoulder operation, watched the club icon’s return and put out this this tweet to celebrate Ronaldo’s first strike of the day:
Like he never left 🤩👏🏾 @Cristiano

Ronaldo’s first since returning to M16 was a true poacher’s effort. Following a powerful strike from Mason Greenwood, the 36-year-old was there to pounce on the rebound as he sent the Reds ahead against the Magpies in first-half stoppage time.
The opener was Ronaldo’s 119th goal for United but it was certainly not his last of the afternoon...
After the Magpies equalised through Javier Manquillo ten minutes into the second half, Cristiano did what he does best once again just after the hour-mark.
Luke Shaw bombed forward into a central are before sending our striker through on goal and he slotted in his 120th United goal in front of the Stretford End as we went 2-1 ahead.
Rashford again took to social media to show his appreciation for Ronaldo following the Portuguese's second:

Bruno Fernandes also joined the Portuguese party at Old Trafford this Saturday as he smashed in United's third with an emphatic finish ten minutes from time. The Portuguese magnifico received the ball from Paul Pogba before finding the top corner from outside the box.
In injury time, Jesse Lingard, having come off the bench, put himself on the scoresheet with a brilliant finish following great build-up by Pogba and Anthony Martial. That also proved to be the final goal in our 4-1 win.
What a return to Old Trafford for Cristiano Ronaldo!
