Luke Shaw's effort, which glanced Jesse Lingard on the way in, put the Reds ahead after 33 minutes and Odion Ighalo struck just before half-time to double our lead.
The Nigerian netted his second goal of the game with 20 minutes left on the clock, as United successfully made it past the Rams and former striker Wayne Rooney.
