United 1 Rayo Vallecano 1
Manchester United rounded off pre-season with a 1-1 draw against La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford, as Amad's second-half opener was cancelled out by Alvaro Garcia's effort.
Tom Heaton was called into action within the first 10 seconds, as Garcia found space behind Ethan Laird, with the Spaniard's attempt pushed away for a corner.
Donny van de Beek was gifted the ball on the halfway line as United drove forward soon after. The Dutchman played in Cristiano Ronaldo who blazed his first sighter at goal high and wide.
Some superb work from Alejandro Garnacho down the left provided an opening for Tahith Chong, after Christian Eriksen had beautifully found the young forward moments prior. Our no.44 failed to test Rayo keeper Stole Dimitrievski, as Ten Hag's side continued the search for an opener.
Eriksen was again the next player to be involved in a fruitful looking attack, as half-time loomed. The Dane picked up the scraps on the edge of the 'D' before Old Trafford rose to its feet in expectation as his left-footed effort flashed just inches wide.

Former United forward Radamel Falcao found space to curl an effort against the bar shortly after, as Vallecano searched for an instant response. Lisandro Martinez showed astute defending to prevent any further danger, as he looked strong in his maiden outing for the Reds.
Rayo then equalised with just under an hour gone, as Garcia poked home his effort, following Heaton's save that had initially denied Isaac Camacho from inside the penalty area.
Hannibal went close with just under 10 minutes remaining, as Ethan Laird burst forward from right-back in a bid to find a late winner.
As the game entered its final stages, Zidane Iqbal and Telles went closest, as the Reds' final pre-season test ended all level.

Looking to banish any lingering memories of our defeat against the Seagulls towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign, Ten Hag's side will no doubt be backed once more by a boisterous crowd inside the Theatre of Dreams next weekend.
