Manchester United Under-21s travel to West Ham on Friday, for a Premier League 2 clash which is being broadcast live on MUTV.

The young Reds are looking to follow up last week’s 2-1 victory over rivals Liverpool, as we look to climb the table after a stop-start beginning to the 2022/23 campaign.

Ahead of the upcoming fixture down south, here’s everything you need to know…

HOW TO FOLLOW

The match at Rush Green is being shown live on MUTV, allowing you to keep up with every single kick.

MUTV is now available in the United App too, allowing you to follow the Reds from your mobile device, wherever you are.

In addition to live coverage, regular updates and images will be posted in the United App throughout, with highlights available to watch across our official platforms after the full-time whistle.

FORM GUIDE

United come into this one in fine fettle, having defeated Liverpool 2-1 last time out, at Leigh Sports Village, and winning 2-1 away to Fulham the week before.

Joe Hugill notched twice against the Merseysiders, and also grabbed one of our two goals against the Cottagers.

He – and the Reds – will be striving to make it three wins from three, when we make the trip to face West Ham.

Our hosts come into this one on the back of a win too, defeating Everton on Friday 6 January. Prior to this match, the Hammers hadn’t played since November, when they recorded three consecutive wins on the trot.

West Ham will also be looking to close the gap on United, as the Reds currently sit two places and five points ahead of the London club in the table, with both sides having played 14 times so far this season.

The last time we locked horns with the Hammers, at this level, was on 16 September 2022, where United were held to a 1-1 draw. Omari Forson scored our goal that day, with Kamarai Simon-Swyer notching for West Ham.
