The votes are in… and you’ve decided that Manchester United's 7-1 victory over Roma is the winner of our latest ‘Match Rewind’ poll.

That means we’ll be streaming our 2007 destruction of the Giallorossi on the Official App and the homepage of ManUtd.com at 19:00 BST this evening.

Our famous Champions League trouncing of Totti, De Rossi and co narrowly saw off another goal-laden European night at Old Trafford – the 4-3 victory over Real Madrid in 2003 – in a closely-contested vote.

UNITED 7-1 ROMA, 2007

The Reds were 2-1 behind heading into the second leg of this Champions League quarter-final in 2007, after a tough night in Rome the previous week. Mirko Vucinic’s winner had given the Italians a lead to defend, while United would be without the suspended Paul Scholes, sent off for two bookable offences at the Stadio Olimpico, and the injured Gary Neville and Nemanja Vidic.

If that sounded like a recipe for early elimination, Sir Alex Ferguson’s side soon tore up the rule-book, surging into a three-goal lead in no time at all. Michael Carrick curled in the opener, Alan Smith scored his first goal in almost 18 months to make it two after a sweeping counter-attack, before Wayne Rooney tapped home a third from yet another rapid Reds advance.

Cristiano Ronaldo then grabbed a brace either side of the break before Carrick smashed in a sixth. With just an hour gone, that was a goal every 10 minutes from a rampant home side. Luciano Spalletti’s side would achieve a smidgen of consolation through Daniele De Rossi’s volley, but Patrice Evra got in on the act late on, with a low drive. It was our biggest win in the European Cup since 1968, and the first time we’d overturned a first-leg deficit to make it through in the Champions League. Oh, what a night.
