#MUFCMundial: Mexico

Saturday 23 June 2018 14:56

Mexico is the latest of the 32 nations participating in the 2018 World Cup to feature in our #MUFCMundial series.

With El Tri off to a flier after victory against World Cup holders Germany, Kev Chinaski de la Rosa provides an insight into his nation's chances of success in Russia.

Which country are you representing and why?

Mexico because, first of all, I am from Mexico and I have to support my country in the good times and the bad times. Fortunately, for now, we have good times after that win against Germany.

How far do you think your team will go in the tournament? Can they reach the final and win?

Well, the sky's the limit but I think that Mexico can, at least, get through to the semi-finals. They have to go game by game. They cannot think ahead to the final when they are still in the group stage.

Mexico stunned 2014 World Cup winners Germany in their opening group game.

Which United star do you think will shine brightest during this World Cup?

All the players will do an excellent job - they're great, that's why they play for Manchester United - but I think Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford will shine more. Both of them are wonderful players with magnificent spirit. They feel the shirt and the shield of their country.

How would you sum up your feelings about the World Cup using emojis only?
😲😍 💪😎

Have you ever been to Old Trafford?

No, unfortunately not. That's one of my dreams, to be at Old Trafford singing all the chants. I don't care if we lose or draw, I just want to be there and support my team in the good times and the bad times.

Which player from your national team would you love to see in a United shirt?

I would like to see Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano. He's a great, young player. He plays for PSV Eindhoven and is one of the best strikers in the Eredivisie. United should follow the performances of Lozano, because he can be a great player like Javier Hernandez was for the Reds.

Hirving Lozano scored the winner in Mexico's 1-0 victory over Germany on matchday one.
