He also led the way on passes (87), passes in the opposition half (59) and touches (111). Showing his strength, he was involved in 15 duels (the most) and won all three of his aerial challenges.

Bringing the ball forward with real purpose, the World Cup winner also made more sprints (14) than any of his colleagues, and he was clearly delighted afterwards with the amazing turnaround.

Pogba collected 43 per cent of the fans' Man-of-the-Match vote on our official Twitter account @ManUtd, finishing 13% clear of his fellow Frenchman Anthony Martial.

Juan Mata, who scored the Reds' first goal with a free-kick, and Ashley Young were the other nominees.
