Pogba is United's Player of the Month for April

Paul Pogba has been voted Manchester United's Player of the Month for April by supporters - the second time the Frenchman has won the award this season.

Over 50,000 fans voted in the poll on our official Twitter account @ManUtd, with Pogba picking up a clear majority of the votes (61 per cent). Team-mates Ander Herrera (21 per cent) and Alexis Sanchez (18 per cent) also received nominations.

This is Pogba's first Player-of-the-Month award since August, when he picked up the accolade after scoring twice in the four-goal demolitions of West Ham and Swansea in the early weeks of the season. The Frenchman was also nominated for November's Player of the Month, with the honour going to Ashley Young instead.

Paul Pogba has scored three goals and assisted another in his last four Premier League outings.

Pogba joins Anthony Martial as the only other player to win more than one monthly award this term.

April was a successful month for Pogba, with the midfielder being instrumental in the Reds' comeback against Manchester City to put the league leaders' title celebrations on hold. The 23-year-old scored two goals in two minutes in what was stunning second-half performance to put United on course for a prized victory.

The midfield talent added to his goal tally when he opened the scoring against Arsenal at Old Trafford, scoring a rebound which had bounced back off a post, and turned provider with assists against Bournemouth and in the FA Cup semi-final triumph over Tottenham Hotspur.
