Rainbow Devils launch Old Trafford banner competition
Manchester United is proud to promote equality and LGBTQ+ inclusion by supporting the Premier League’s ‘With Pride’ campaign, making it clear that football is for everyone.
The club, along with the Premier League, is committed to tackling discrimination and this year’s campaign centres around belonging and feeling welcome in football.
As part of this, our LGBTQ+ official supporters' club, Rainbow Devils, have launched a competition to redesign the supporters’ club banner which adorns Tier 2 of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand at Old Trafford on matchdays.
Premier League launches Pride initiative
ArticleAll Premier League matches between 6 and 12 February will be dedicated to ‘With Pride’.
The fan behind the winning design will see their vision proudly displayed at the Theatre of Dreams for years to come, a visual representation of the club’s commitment to equality and inclusion, as well as its strong, loyal LGBTQ+ fanbase.
To enter, supporters are invited to submit their design and supporting statement via the competition form on Rainbow Devils’ website here.
The Premier League has also commissioned artist Ashton Attzs to help celebrate the campaign through a league-wide creative. The bespoke illustration celebrating Rainbow Devils will be framed and presented to a supporter who has made a significant impact on inclusion at the club.
At Manchester United, we’re committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for our supporters, players, and staff.
Manchester United Foundation provides opportunities for young people from its network of partner schools to come together and celebrate LGBTQ+ inclusion and representation in sport, working with a range of partners, including Rainbow Devils.
This includes events which are organised throughout the year, encouraging allyship and empowering young people to express themselves freely.
