Ole announces team for Boxing Day

Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his team for the opening home match of his spell in charge - against Huddersfield Town.

Ole has made three changes to his first line-up that started the 5-1 victory at Cardiff City last time out.

Ashley Young, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial, the latter two scorers in the comprehensive victory, have been replaced by Diogo Dalot, Fred and Juan Mata.

Fred arrives at the ground after being named in midfield.

Martial is not among the substitutes but there is a place on the bench for Under-23s midfield star Angel Gomes, who travelled with the squad for the match in Wales on Saturday.

David De Gea captains the Reds and will lead the team out for the 15:00 kick-off at Old Trafford.

United: De Gea (c); Dalot, Jones, Lindelof, Shaw; Fred, Matic, Pogba; Mata, Lingard; Rashford.

Substitutes: Romero, Bailly, Young, Fellaini, Gomes, Herrera, A. Pereira.

Huddersfield: Lossl, Kongolo, Billing, Kachunga, Mbenza, Depoitre, Pritchard, Zanka, Schindler, Hadergjonaj, Durm.

Substitutes: Hamer, Hogg, Bacuna, Lowe, Quaner, Mounie, Stankovic.
