Team news: West Ham v United Women
Marc Skinner has reported knocks for Melvine Malard and Phallon Tullis-Joyce but is hopeful his squad won’t gain any fresh absentees for Wednesday’s trip to West Ham.
The United Women head coach was speaking to journalists in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday morning, two days after his side’s defeat to Chelsea in the Subway Women’s League Cup final.
It was in the warm-up for Sunday’s clash in Bristol that Skinner says Tullis-Joyce picked up her issue, but it didn't prevent the goalkeeper going on to play the 90 minutes.
Malard also started and completed the encounter but has a problem that will need assessing ahead of the clash with the Hammers, which marks our return to Barclays Women’s Super League action.

“They’re [the squad] in this morning, it’s a quick turnaround,” Skinner said to reporters at Carrington on Tuesday.
“I’ve had no real concerns. A couple of knocks. Melvine took a knock. Phallon took a knock in the warm-up, but hopefully she’ll be fine.
“Then I think everyone else will be available barring the long-term ones, which is obviously Tooney [Ella Toone], Leah [Galton].”

Leah Galton and Ella Toone are still out of action with back and hip injuries respectively, while Hinata Miyazawa remains unavailable as she is preparing for an Asian Cup semi-final with Japan, against South Korea. That clash takes place at 09:00 GMT on Wednesday.
Anna Sandberg is continuing with her recovery from an issue picked up away to Atletico Madrid last month, while Celin Bizet Donnum is expecting a baby and preparing for that exciting chapter away from the pitch.
