Confirmed: United XI to face Paris Saint-Germain
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United side to take on Paris Saint-Germain shows three changes from the team that beat Newcastle United 4-1 at the weekend.
The boss has handed a debut to new signing Alex Telles, while Axel Tuanzebe is playing for the first time since December 2019. Anthony Martial has also been recalled to the team after he was suspended for Saturday’s Premier League game.
Another night to remember?
United return to Paris hoping for more heroics at the Parc des Princes...
At the heart of defence are Tuanzebe, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw, who was sometimes deployed in a central role last term.
In midfield, Fred and Scott McTominay will be hoping for a rerun of our last trip to Paris, when the duo were paired for our 3-1 victory there in March 2019.
Bruno Fernandes, who is captaining the side, will be looking for his first United goal in the Champions League and will play just behind Martial and Marcus Rashford.
It was the latter, of course, who scored the decisive goal when we were last at the Parc des Princes - let’s hope he can do likewise this evening.
