Cast your vote for December’s Goal of the Month

Tuesday 03 January 2023 14:00

Despite the impact of the 2022 World Cup on the fixture list, there are still 12 top strikes to choose from for our December Goal of the Month award.

Voting is now under way for our monthly prize, which is open to goals scored by our men's, women's, under-21 and under-18 sides.

The men’s team took part in a winter training camp in Spain, which included two friendlies, before Erik ten Hag’s side returned to competitive action in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League.

Along with that, our most senior male Academy teams and United Women also had fixtures in the lead up to Christmas, with some superb strikes standing out.

Marcus Rashford has two goals that feature on the list, as do Leah Galton and Adriana Leon of our women’s team and Under-18s’ striker Manni Norkett.

Rashford has scored in three consecutive games since returning from the Qatar World Cup, with his superb solo run against Burnley, and a well-finished corner against Nottingham Forest both worthy of being added to the shortlist for our Goal-of-the-Month accolade.

Marc Skinner’s United Women are represented five times, with Ona Batlle’s powerful finish against Aston Villa at Old Trafford and Leon’s clever backheel versus Sheffield United appearing. The latter's other effort against the Blades is also in the running, as are two Galton goals.

As well as Norkett’s double nomination, scoring shots from Sam Mather – in the FA Youth Cup – and Jack Moorhouse are also included.

The vote is now open for you to have your say, which you can do so via the poll below.

We will announce the winner later this week in the United App and on ManUtd.com.
