Monday 15 February 2021 10:38

We're all set for another hectic week at Manchester United, as European football makes its return.

The Reds are back in UEFA Europa League action this week as we take on Real Sociedad in the last-32 of the competition. The first team also have a Premier League home game to look forward to, with Newcastle United visiting the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday.

Throw in a couple of press conferences, anniversaries and birthdays and it's all set up for another busy week in the world of Manchester United…

The skipper was hugely frustrated that West Brom's goal was allowed to stand after his colleague was fouled.

MONDAY

We'll look back at the 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns, where United and West Brom shared the points on Sunday.

Monday also means the release of another episode of UTD Podcast. This time it’s former United defender Danny Simpson telling his story from his time at the club. You can find the episode on the podcast streaming platform of your preference from 17:00 GMT.

TUESDAY

The Reds will be putting in the hard work at the Aon Training Complex ahead of the return of European football on Thursday, when United will fly out to Turin to face Spanish side Real Sociedad. Travel restrictions prevent the first leg from being played in San Sebastian, but we are set to host the Basque outfit at Old Trafford, as normal, next week.

WEDNESDAY

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will face the media ahead of the Real Sociedad tie. You can keep track of everything the boss says from 13:00 GMT on MUTV, ManUtd.com and in the Official App.

THURSDAY

We’re back in Europa League action at 17:55 GMT - follow the pre-match build-up on MUTV from 16:50 GMT.

Former club captain Gary Neville turns 46 on Thursday. Let’s hope our former skipper can celebrate the day with a United win. Have a brilliant day, Gary!

FRIDAY

Ole will once again address the media as we turn our attention towards Sunday's encounter with Newcastle.

As we enter the weekend, we celebrate the 111th anniversary of the first game ever to be played at Old Trafford. In 1910, Liverpool were our first opponents - although the Merseysiders ran out 4-3 winners.

European Cup winner Paddy Crerand turns 82 on Friday. Happy birthday, Paddy!

SATURDAY

For the first time in a few weeks, there are no youth-team games, or Women's matches, to look forward to. However, Neil Wood's Under-23s are in action on Merseyside on Monday, when we take on Everton. Keep your eyes out for our in-depth preview over the weekend.

SUNDAY

As the week comes to an end, Newcastle visit Old Trafford for an important Premier League clash at Old Trafford. Kick-off is at 19:00 GMT and, as usual, you can follow all the pre-match and post-match coverage on MUTV.

Everyone at Manchester United would like to wish Phil Jones a very happy birthday. The defender, who has played 224 times for the Reds, winning the Premier League title in 2013, turns 29. Happy birthday, Phil!
