December is always a busy month in the football calendar and at Manchester United, we’re set for another jam-packed week of action.

The second week of the month brings two huge fixtures for our men’s first team, against RB Leipzig in a crucial Champions League decider, followed by the first Manchester derby of the season at the weekend.

On top of that, our Under-23s, Under-18s and Women’s sides are in action...

MONDAY
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will kick off the week when he hosts his pre-RB Leipzig press conference at 13:00 GMT. The boss could give an indication as to which XI will start at Red Bull Arena, and if Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial will be fit after they were replaced during the weekend victory over West Ham United. Stay up to date via ManUtd.com and our Official App.

Later that afternoon, Ole’s men will travel to Germany ahead of our pivotal European clash. We’ll also build up to the Leipzig fixture by bringing you the latest from training.

Elsewhere, a new UTD Podcast episode will be available from 17:00 GMT. This week’s guest is Dutch defender Tim Fosu-Mensah. The 22-year-old talks about breaking through the ranks at United, playing with Donny van de Beek at Ajax and much more.

TUESDAY
It’s a double matchday for United, which begins with our Under-21s side facing a trip to Accrington Stanley in the second round of the Papa John’s Trophy. Neil Wood’s men finished second in a group containing Salford City, Rochdale and Morecambe earlier this season, and meet an Accrington side who are currently just outside the League One play-off places. Kick-off is at 19:00 GMT.

An hour later and Ole’s senior team are in action, as our Champions League fate will be determined, when we lock horns with RB Leipzig. Heading into the fixture, United, Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain all sit on nine points from five group-stage games. However, the Reds need just a point to progress to the knockout stages, thanks to what would be a superior head-to-head record. You can watch what is sure to be an unmissable night of action live on BT Sport in the UK, or alternatively, you can listen to live commentary on MUTV from 20:00 GMT, as well as following updates and live reaction across our website, app and social media platforms.

Tuesday will also mark Scott McTominay’s 24th birthday. The tenacious midfielder has racked up 97 senior appearances, scoring eight goals so far in his United career. Scott will be hoping to celebrate with a victory in Germany.

WEDNESDAY
We’ll have all the latest reaction from the boss and players, following what we hope to be a successful outing in Europe. By then, we’ll know whether the Reds will be playing Champions League or Europa League football in the new year, and which sides we could potentially face. MUTV will also be showing a full 90-minute rerun of the game throughout the day.

THURSDAY
The first-team squad will be back in training as we prepare to host Manchester City at the weekend. The two sides are separated by just a point in the league, with United on 19 and City on 18. Last time we played our cross-city rivals, we won 2-0 thanks to superb goals from Martial and McTominay, in what is actually the most recent game where fans were in attendance at a match inside the Theatre of Dreams.

SATURDAY
The weekend sees another double header of United matchday action. Up first, our Under-18s travel to the West Midlands to face Wolverhampton Wanderers' youngsters (11:30 GMT kick-off). Neil Ryan’s team are currently top of the table having won eight of our nine matches to date in the league, and the clash with Wolves will be shown live on MUTV.

Later that evening and it’s the big one, as we play our first Manchester derby of the season. The game kicks off at 17:30 GMT and is being shown live in the UK on Sky Sports. A victory for Ole’s men could mean we move up to third and extend our excellent recent run in the derby, which has seen us win three of the last four meetings.
