What's happening this week at United?

Manchester United will play twice in the space of five days this week, as our defence of the Carabao Cup trophy begins at the Theatre of Dreams.

A double-header against Crystal Palace awaits Erik ten Hag's side in two separate competitions, while our Women's team and Academy sides are also in action.

In what is set to be a busy week of build-up, we'll have a whole host of content delivered right to you, with plenty more to celebrate and also commemorate across the next seven days at the club.

MONDAY

The week will start with our match preview ahead of Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace, providing you with all the information you need on tickets, how to watch and more.

We'll also bring you early team news from Carrington, as we assess how Ten Hag's squad is shaping up ahead of the Eagles' visit to M16.

TUESDAY

Our Under-21s are in EFL Trophy action against Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday. The is game set to begin at the Toughsheet Community Stadium at 19:45 BST.

Matchday at Old Trafford brings Roy Hodgson's team to town and you can read our first release of the day, Erik's Matchday Q&A, to whet your appetite.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is 20:00 BST and our exclusive Match Day Live show will begin at 18:55 BST, so be sure to join us on MUTV.

The game will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, whose own coverage starts at 19:30 BST.

WEDNESDAY

THURSDAY

Attention quickly turns to our second game against Palace on Saturday afternoon, this time in the Premier League, with our match preview and early team news coming your way.

The latest instalment of The Debate is also due to be released on Thursday, as our panel break down the latest news and views on all things United.

28 September also marks 19 years since Wayne Rooney made his debut for the Reds, netting a hat-trick against Fenerbahce in the Champions League at Old Trafford.

FRIDAY

The boss is due to speak to the media on Friday afternoon at Carrington, answering questions ahead of Saturday's encounter with Palace.

Both parts will be delivered across the day, with our on-demand videos also a chance for you to dissect everything the boss has to say.

Leah Galton's exclusive sit-down chat will also be released, as the United Women forward looks ahead to the new campaign.

SATURDAY

A triple matchday awaits the Reds on Saturday, as our Men's, Under-21s and Under-18s all take to the field.

First, it's the Under-21s who travel to Blackburn Rovers in Premier League 2, with kick-off pencilled in for 12:00 BST.

Our Under-18s then play host to Newcastle United at Carrington in the U18 Premier League at 12:30 BST.

After that, attention quickly turns to our first-team clash against Crystal Palace in the Premier League; the first whistle will sound in M16 at 15:00 BST.

SUNDAY

Reaction from our game with the Londoners will continue to filter through into Sunday.

It's also a huge day for our Women's team, as we begin our 2023/24 WSL campaign with a trip to Villa Park to face Aston Villa.

The action in the Midlands begins at 12:30 BST and the game will be shown live on BBC Sport.
