Tranmere v United: Essential information
Manchester United travel to Birkenhead on Sunday to face Tranmere Rovers in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Juan Mata’s strike was enough to see off Wolves in the third round, while Rovers secured their place in the last 32 thanks to a 2-1 extra-time win over Watford, in a tie which went to a replay after a 3-3 draw at Vicarage Road.
It’s only our second-ever meeting with Rovers, after a League Cup tie in 1976, and you can keep up to date with everything that happens this time round through our live match web blog on ManUtd.com and via the Official App, where you can track live data and player statistics in the Match Centre.
Here’s all the essential info ahead of our first-ever senior trip to Prenton Park…
WHICH TV CHANNEL IS IT ON?
Sunday’s match, which kicks off at 15:00 GMT, will be shown live in the UK on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate. You can also keep across all of the action on MUTV. Prior to kick-off, subscribers can watch the match build-up via the ‘Match Day Live’ show from 13:30 GMT, followed by live commentary of the game itself.
Highlights will be available in the Official App the following day.
WHO IS THE REFEREE?
Lee Mason has been confirmed as the man with the whistle on Sunday. The Portsmouth-born official will take charge of his second United match of the season, after our 2-0 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road in December. Mason will be assisted by Simon Bennett and Daniel Robathan, with Darren Bond as the fourth official. As Prenton Park is not a Premier League ground, VAR will not be in use for this tie.
