Having only previously once reached the quarter-final stage - back in our inaugural 2018/19 season - United will hope to go one step further after a superb campaign so far.

The Reds are currently top of the pile in the WSL after 13 games played, having amassed 32 points, scoring 33 and conceding just seven goals along the way.

Opponents Lewes are in seventh position at present in the Championship, having won four, drawn four and lost four under manager Scott Booth's tutelage so far this term.

The Rooks have so far beaten London Bees, Ipswich Town and Cardiff City to reach this round. They are set to compete at the last-eight stage for the first time in the club's history.

United have themselves seen off both Sunderland and Durham to set up the last-eight meeting, which will take place at Lewes' home ground, known as The Dripping Pan.

The Reds have previously faced the Sussex-based outfit twice in our history, winning both meetings while failing to concede along the way.

Both of those matches came in the 2018/19 campaign, when United completed a double over Lewes in the Championship - 2-0 away and 5-0 at home.
