Manchester United Reserves midfielder Charlie Scott has joined Hamilton Academical on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year-old, who has risen through the ranks with the Reds, becomes the third United man to head north of the border this month following Demi Mitchell's move to Hearts and Matty Willock's deadline-day switch to St Johnstone.

Hamilton boss Martin Canning told the club's official website: "I am pleased to welcome Charlie to the club and believe he’ll be a great addition to our squad."

Scott has been a regular in Ricky Sbragia's squad and has an FA Youth Cup goal to his name, with a piledriver in the tie against Chelsea in 2016.
