Lindelof: I'm learning from the best in Mourinho

The young central defender joined the Reds from Benfica in the summer and is currently adapting to his new surroundings in England, which the boss has previously stated will take some time.

Lindelof has conducted an in-depth interview for Saturday's edition of United Review, the official match programme at Old Trafford for the Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

During his exclusive interview, Victor discussed how much he is enjoying working under Mourinho.

"He's a very good coach and in my opinion the best in the world," Lindelof explained.

"For me to be able to work with him is a pleasure. All of the staff and coaches as well, they are great. I am learning a lot from them all. I'm just trying to do my best to work hard every day and listen to them because they know a lot about football, so it's about listening and learning."

Lindelof was part of the side which secured a 4-1 win over Newcastle United last time out at the Theatre of Dreams. 

With matches coming thick and fast as we count down to Christmas, the 23-year-old is aware that every member of the squad will have an important part to play.

“The games are the most fun part of football," Victor declared. "Training is fun also, but you play football to play the games, that’s the best part of it. We have a lot of games coming up and we have to be focused on the recovery between games so that the body can be 100 per cent ready.

"We have a very good squad with a lot of depth and good players. We’ve made a good start in every competition. We just want to keep going and do our best."
