Revealed: Our Man of the Match v Chelsea
Manchester United supporters have voted Victor Lindelof our Man of the Match from Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea, in recognition of the Swede’s diligent defensive performance.
Lindelof continued that good form against the Blues at Old Trafford, this time in a more traditional back two with his regular centre-back partner Harry Maguire, who returned from a slight injury.
Reds legend Gary Neville described Lindelof and Chelsea defender Thiago Silva as the best players on the pitch during his Sky Sports commentary, and the fans have agreed with that educated opinion.
In a poll published via our Official App, Lindelof earned more votes than any other player with 22 per cent of the end result – beating off competition from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, who each finished with 16 per cent apiece.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR LINDELOF?
Victor is almost certain to start on Wednesday night when Bundesliga leaders RB Leipzig visit Old Trafford in the Champions League, but in which formation will the Reds line up?
Solskjaer achieved great success by utilising a back three against PSG and could replicate that system at the Theatre of Dreams, potentially with Axel Tuanzebe (an unused substitute against Chelsea) alongside Lindelof and fit-again Maguire.
We may learn more about the squad to face Leipzig when the manager speaks to the media on Tuesday. A time for that press conference is still to be confirmed, so keep an eye on club channels over the coming days.
