The Old Trafford fans were treated to a superb second-half showing as Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James all found the net, after Rashford's penalty separated the two teams at the break.
James may have scored on his competitive bow but there were also impressive showings by fellow debutants Harry Maguire and Aaaron Wan-Bissaka in defence.
