Who scored United’s best goal in January? We’ve selected 10 strikes, so watch our video and choose carefully…

McTominay v Villa

Scott nodded in a laser-accurate Fred centre to settle the tight Emirates FA Cup third-round clash with Aston Villa: one of three assists the Brazilian registered during the month.

Fernandes (2) v Villa

Five days later, Fred won the ball back in midfield and Bruno Fernandes blasted it into the net, off the crossbar, to add to his earlier goal at Villa Park.

Zelem v Birmingham (Women)

A lovely dinked finish to add sprinkles to a delightful move, as United Women beat Birmingham 5-0: our most emphatic win of a month containing four victories.

Elanga v Brentford

Anthony netted his first of the season to break the deadlock in south-west London, flicking Fred's pass above Jonas Lossl before heading into the net.

Rashford v Brentford

Later in that game, Marcus settled matters, sidefooting the ball into the roof of the goal to complete a quick United counter.

Russo v Arsenal (Women)

Another header, this time from United Women's striker Alessia Russo and it was key as the Reds beat Arsenal at Boreham Wood to move into the Conti Cup semi-finals.

Mellor v Brighton (U23)

D'Mani made an instant impact on returning from a loan spell, sweeping home to give United the lead at Brighton. He later capitalised on a defensive mistake to add a second.

Rashford v West Ham

Marcus's last-gasp winner wasn't about the aesthetics - just look at those scenes in the crowd as the ball meets the net!

Ladd v West Ham (Women)

Hayley hung highest to convert Ella Toone's cross, as the Reds' imperious run of form continued.

Toone v Bridgwater (Women)

Our final entry of the month comes from Toone herself, with the no.7 cutting inside from the left before curling home against Bridgwater.
