Monday 22 November 2021 09:38

Manchester United's pre-match press conference for the Champions League game away to Villarreal will be held at 13:00 GMT today (Monday) and is to be led by caretaker manager Michael Carrick.

The first-team coach and former midfielder has taken temporary charge of the team, following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's departure from the permanent position.

Carrick and captain Harry Maguire will answer the media's questions via a video call from Carrington, before travelling with the squad to Manchester Airport for this afternoon's flight to Spain.

The full press conference will be shown live on ManUtd.com and MUTV, as well as in our Official App, from 13:00 GMT and will later be available to watch on demand.
MATCH DETAILS

Our fifth fixture in this Champions League campaign will kick off at 17:45 GMT on Tuesday evening, with the leadership of Group F up for grabs at Estadio La Ceramica, formerly known as El Madrigal.

The two sides have the same number of points - seven, from the four games played so far - but while Villarreal have a superior goal difference, the Reds are in top spot by virtue of the head-to-head record. United won the first meeting 2-1 at Old Trafford, thanks to a dramatic late winner scored by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Live updates will be available via ManUtd.com and our Official App throughout the evening, while MUTV's coverage from 16:40 GMT until 20:15 GMT will encompass exclusive build-up, live radio commentary, and post-match reaction.
