Highlights: United go through after shoot-out
Manchester United progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after beating Rochdale 5-3 on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
It was two teenagers who scored the only goals of the game, with Mason Greenwood netting for United while Luke Matheson bagged the equaliser for the visitors.
On a largely frustrating evening for the Reds, the home side produced 31 shots on Robert Sanchez’s goal in total.
