What's going on at United this week?

Monday 02 November 2020 08:00

November is here, and it begins with another busy week at Manchester United, as we build up to the second international break of the 2020/21 season.

We've a trip to Turkey to face a new opponent in the Champions League, a big game for United Women, plus a blockbuster Premier League fixture.

Helpfully, you can fill yourself in on everything that's going on in and around Old Trafford with the essential guide below...

MONDAY
Monday, of course, means a brand-new episode of the ever-popular UTD Podcast. This week it's a chat with our former goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak, who played a part in several title wins - expect plenty of great tales, of Sir Alex Ferguson and more!
TUESDAY
The Reds will travel to Istanbul, where we'll go through our final session of training before our third Champions League group-stage test, against Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will also address the media in his usual pre-match press conference, at 12:00 GMT, which you'll be able to watch live on ManUtd.com and our Official App

WEDNESDAY
Ole has been at pains to stress his keenness to reach 10 points in the Champions League - the milestone which, in his opinion, would almost guarantee our progression to the knockout stages. If we make it three wins in three by beating Istanbul Basaksehir, we'll take a huge step towards that points tally.

Can we continue our great start in Europe? You'll be able to find out from 17:55 GMT. Tune in to MUTV for exclusive pre-match build-up and the best reaction throughout and after the game.

Manchester United Women are also in action. They face Everton in the Continental League Cup group stage. There's work to do for Casey Stoney's side after a surprise opening-day defeat to Liverpool.
THURSDAY
We'll be bringing you all the goals, highlights and reaction to the games from the night before. Hopefully we'll have plenty of positive content for you to enjoy!

FRIDAY
Ole will once again face the media, ahead of another big game that follows hot on the heels of our midweek Champions League encounter: our trip to Goodison Park to face high-flyers Everton. Expect the latest team news and thoughts on the dangers posed by Carlo Ancelotti's men.

United's Under-23s take on Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre in Premier League 2. We're unbeaten in our last three league games, and will be hoping to build on the momentum created by the 2-1 win over Everton in our last PL2 outing.

Marcus Rashford has come out on top in our worldwide fan poll after some scintillating October displays.

SATURDAY

Our game with Everton kicks off at 12:30 GMT, and you'll able to follow all the action on MUTV, with pre-match build-up, commentary and post-match reaction. Can we finish off before the international break with a strong result against a side who topped the table during the first few weeks of the season?

We're also celebrating the birthdays of two former team-mates - both United legends. Let's hope three points on Merseyside can make it a happy one for both current no.1 goalkeeper David De Gea (30) and legendary ex-Red Rio Ferdinand (42).

Before that, our Under-18s welcome the Toffees to the Aon Training Complex (kick-off at 11:00 GMT).

SUNDAY

The week concludes with a big test for MU Women, who host Arsenal in the Women's Super League. At the time of writing, the Gunners are the only team in the WSL with a 100 per cent record. We'll be aiming to put that right at Leigh Sports Village from 12:00 GMT.

Our 2020/21 home, away and third kits are available to buy from United Direct.
