When could Antony make his United debut?
Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United squad has been bolstered by the signing of Antony, although our new recruit is unavailable for the Premier League match at Leicester City.
The 22-year-old has been happily reunited with his former boss Ten Hag and he also knows three of our players in ex-Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez, plus fellow countrymen Casemiro and Fred.
Antony is buzzing to get started and develop strong relationships with all of his new team-mates, but he must wait for his first appearance as a United player.
The exciting forward will not face Leicester in our 20:00 BST kick-off at the King Power Stadium, but he could be available for Sunday’s big game against Premier League pacesetters Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Antony’s participation in that blockbuster occasion at the Theatre of Dreams will of course depend on his fitness and whether the manager decides he is ready, based on training sessions at Carrington in the coming days.
If he does not feature against Arsenal, the next opportunity for him to make his debut would be the Europa League group-stage opener against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford next Thursday.
Our fifth signing of the summer has admitted he can’t wait to play for United and in front of supporters who have already shown him so much love on social media.
The former Sao Paulo man watched our recent victory over rivals Liverpool on television and was taken aback by the atmosphere that night.
Sunday’s match against Arsenal will kick off at 16:30 BST and that means the line-ups will be announced at exactly 15:30.
Our live coverage on MUTV will start five minutes earlier at 15:25.

Although he isn't available to face Leicester, the Premier League has already confirmed Antony's price in their popular Fantasy game.
Will he make your side this weekend? At £7.5million, the Samba star could be a great addition to your FPL squad.
