Vote for April's Player of the Month

Wednesday 29 April 2026 16:00

Three names are in the frame for Manchester United's Player of the Month in April.

Michael Carrick's side only had three matches in this period - the 2-1 home loss to Leeds United, 1-0 win at Chelsea and Monday night's 2-1 triumph over Brentford.

These games threw up a number of potential candidates for the trophy, with Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo making our shortlist.

Special mention to Senne Lammens and Ayden Heaven, who also received nominations, but your task is simple - select your option from the poll below and we will be announcing our penultimate winner of 2025/26 on Friday.

Read on for a brief summary of the three Reds vying for the accolade...

Who gets your vote for April's Player of the Month?

CASEMIRO - 3 apps / 2 goals / 1 MOTM

The brilliant Brazilian is going out with a bang as he prepares for his United swansong by powering the team on.

Another expert header gave the 10-man Reds hope in the defeat to Leeds and he was part of a major effort at Stamford Bridge that yielded a clean sheet and a vital away win in the quest for UEFA Champions League football next season.

On an emotional night for the 34-year-old, he was star man in the victory against Brentford, nodding home another goal, his ninth of the season, from a Harry Maguire assist.

There was far more to his all-action performance, though, as he smashed a shot narrowly wide, flew into tackles and helped whip up the crowd as we held on to our slender advantage in the closing stages.

There is no doubt Case would be a worthy winner.

BRUNO FERNANDES - 3 apps / 3 assists / 1 MOTM

As head coach Carrick has admitted, it is easy to run out of things to say about our Portuguese magnifico.

The heartbeat of the side registered an assist in each of the three outings, firstly crossing for Casemiro to net against Leeds. A superb piece of work down the right wing led to a cross into the path of Matheus Cunha, who swept in the winner at Chelsea and, most recently, his perfectly timed pass allowed Benjamin Sesko to grab the second of the night against Brentford.

This has taken him to within one assist of the all-time record for a Premier League season (20), jointly held by Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry.

Bruno won March's fan-voted prize, his second of the campaign after also being successful in February.

KOBBIE MAINOO - 2 apps

It is a testament to his last two performances that the precociously talented midfielder makes the cut despite missing the opening game of the month, against Leeds, due to injury.

He pushed himself to return at Chelsea, despite not being able to train fully in the week, and produced a display that Carrick described as his best since taking charge of the Reds. As United held the Blues at bay, the England international was at the heart of all the good work, barely misplacing a pass.

It was more of the same against Brentford, right from the outset. A goal to treasure looked certain when he danced his way through the Bees' defence but, opting to lay the ball off to Amad as Caoimhin Kelleher advanced, the Ivorian's effort flicked wide off Sepp van den Berg.

Another combative contribution, including a string of well-timed sliding interventions, further illustrated just what a huge talent the 21-year-old Academy product really is and justifies his first nomination of the campaign.
