Manchester United produced a good display on our return to Premier League action as Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Our first meeting with Forest this century saw goals inside the first 22 minutes by Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial put the Reds in a commanding position.

VAR ruled out a goal back for the visitors, with Willy Boly offside when touching the ball in, but the hosts spurned a number of chances, with Wayne Hennessey making some smart stops, until Fred provided the icing on the cake with a left-foot finish to a precise pass by fellow Brazilian Casemiro.

There were a number of contenders for the Man-of-the-Match accolade with Casemiro producing a regal performance in the engine room and Raphael Varane excellent on his return, so soon after his World Cup heartache with France.

Rashford scored and assisted, as his fine form continued, while Luke Shaw was superb in the unfamiliar position of centre-back, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka was impressive in his first outing in the division since the victory over Liverpool in August.

Skipper Bruno Fernandes really should have had at least an assist for his clever approach work.

Our poll closed with a two-horse race at the top, with the fans deciding to back Amazon Prime Video pundit Alan Shearer's award of Casemiro as Man of the Match.

The Brazil international was excellent again and collects the prize for the third time this season, following his stellar performances against Newcastle United and Chelsea.

The 57 per cent he received ensured he finished clear of second-placed Rashford (34%) with Fernandes some way back in third spot.
