Who will manage Leeds at Old Trafford?

Tuesday 07 February 2023 15:43

Leeds United are the next side to visit Old Trafford in the Premier League, with Manchester United and the Whites set to lock horns on Wednesday evening (20:00 GMT).

Having recently suffered defeat against Nottingham Forest last weekend, the West Yorkshire side currently occupy 17th place in the league standings at present.

Head coach Jesse Marsch has was subsequently relieved of his duties yesterday, with Leeds on a run of seven games without a win in the competition.

Without a permanent manager in place, the club have implemented an interim trio to oversee Wednesday's clash in M16, with one face in particular more familiar to United than the others.

Why is United v Leeds not on TV?

 Article

The first game of our double-header with the Whites is not being broadcast live in the UK.

It has been confirmed by Leeds that a three-man coaching team of Michael Skubala, Paco Gallardo and Chris Armas will be in charge at Old Trafford, with the latter spending time here at United last season.

Armas was a member of Ralf Rangnick's coaching team during his spell in charge of the Reds last season.

The former USA international is still new to the Elland Road club, having initially joined Marsch's backroom team just last month, and is set to return to familiar surroundings tomorrow evening.

With no indication as to when the new Leeds boss will be appointed, the same trio could continue to in charge for our return fixture in West Yorkshire, this weekend.
