Manchester United, in partnership with Harves, opened the first of its entertainment centres, the Theatre of Dreams, in an historic district of Beijing, adjacent to Tiananmen Square.
With this exciting launch, Manchester United furthers its promise to deepen engagement with Chinese fans and bring families and friends together around the unifying power of football to entertain and inspire. The Theatre of Dreams centre features an array of innovative and compelling attractions to create a localised experience of the world’s greatest football club, based on the unique atmosphere and thrill of Old Trafford.
The Theatre of Dreams provides an entirely new way to access and engage with Manchester United and all it represents. Using cutting edge design and proprietary technology, the centre brings football to life through a range of entertaining interactive features that encapsulate the passion, drama, history, and values of Manchester United. These attractions including:
Red Devil Experience – a first-of-its kind mixed reality gaming experience, leveraging propriety technology from Harves. The Red Devil Experience takes football to a new level, allowing players to advance and develop through different levels on a private pitch. Reserved game suites allow fans to compete with friends and family. The new technology platform was specifically developed to enable an adaptable, scalable, immersive experience that can be continually updated and enjoyed by all ages.
The United Way – an interactive, up-close exploration of the incredible history of Manchester United, celebrating more than 140 years of the pursuit of excellence and commemorating seminal moments in the Club’s rich and remarkable story.
The Theatre of Dreams also includes a large selection of official Manchester United merchandise in China and a family dining experience.
