Things to do at Old Trafford
While you may think of Old Trafford as a place to visit to see a live game, there’s also plenty to do even when there isn’t a game on. Now is the perfect time to bring the family for a day out that they’ll all enjoy. From toddlers to teens, parents to grandparents, there’s no need to leave anyone out.
Where shall we start? Well, the Museum & Stadium Tour is a great place… Head to the Sir Alex Ferguson stand and up to the huge Museum spread across three floors, showcasing the greatest football story ever told. See the Bryan Robson Captain Marvel exhibition, charting the career of the great man himself, take a walk through the famous trophy room and make sure to stop off at the kit room, too. Here you’ll see match-worn kit from United legends like Sir Bobby Charlton and Wayne Rooney, and don't forget to get your picture taken in our new photo experience, which you can collect later in the Megastore. Book online for the best prices or find out more at manutd.com/museum.
Don't forget that Official Members, Season Ticket Holders and Executive Club Members can get 50% off this and other Museum & Stadium Tour tickets.
Once you’ve ticked ‘history’ off your list, head out on a Stadium Tour of Old Trafford and fill your camera roll with selfies and smiles. From the newly refurbished dressing room where you can sit in your favourite players’ seat, you’ll walk in their footsteps down the players tunnel towards the world famous hallowed turf, then to the dugouts where you can sit in the Manager’s seat, and back inside through the original players entrance, one of the few parts of the stadium that survived the bombing of WWII. Book online to choose your preferred time slot. We welcome walk-ups if that's more your vibe, but online prices are always cheaper.
The Stadium Tour ends in the Megastore in the East Stand. Here you’ll find more Manchester United kit, merchandise and accessories than you can shake a stick at. Pick up the latest shirt, or maybe a retro jersey if the Museum has you feeling nostalgic. You can even bag one of the new Stan Chow range t-shirts featuring first-team favourites like Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford. There’s plenty to choose from and you’re sure to find the perfect souvenir. Don't forget to pick up your photograph in the Megastore from the photo experience in the Museum, too!
By this point, you’ll probably have worked up a hunger. Head back over to Sir Alex Ferguson Stand and treat yourselves to a delicious meal in the Red Cafe. Let the kids pick from the dedicated Little Devils menu and sit back and enjoy a delicious main meal, or maybe you just fancy a snack and brew. Whatever floats your boat, we’ve got you.
Think you’re done? Not quite. Before you head off, why not take a walk around the outside of the stadium and see some of the sights that you might have missed. There are statues aplenty around the stadium for you to spot, including Sir Matt Busby, Sir Alex Ferguson and the famous United Trinity. Commemorate the Munich tragedy with a walk through the Munich tunnel and see the Munich clock and Munich plaque, and make sure you see the famous James Gibson plaque, that was originally blue but is now, more fittingly, red.
What a day! Don’t forget to tag Manchester United in all of your pictures on social media.
