Technically gifted midfielder who was part of Ruben Amorim's squad for Manchester United's post-season tour to Asia in May 2025.

Jim made an impressive 10 appearances in the Under-18s' excellent 2023/24 season while he was still an Under-16 player and scored a vital injury-time equaliser in the 2-2 draw with Derby County. Two outings for the Under-21s also supplied invaluable experience for the youngster, setting Thwaites up to be a regular in Adam Lawrence's U18s side in 2024/25. As well as getting a further two PL2 games under his belt, Jim scored nine goals and made four assists in 24 U18 Premier League appearances, earning himself a spot in Amorim's squad for friendlies in Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.
