Janina Leitzig is an experienced goalkeeper who arrived at Manchester United in the summer of 2026, with over 100 senior appearances to her name.

The German shot-stopper previously spent three-and-a-half years playing Barclays Women's Super League football at Leicester City, where she was named Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year in 2023.

Leitzig intially joined the Foxes on loan before making a permanent move from Bayern Munich, who she appeared for in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

The goalkeeper started her first-team career elsewhere in Germany, at Hoffenheim, and also represented her nation at several youth levels.
