Bruno Fernandes took an unusual path to the top when compared to other Portuguese talents who have served Manchester United.

A four-time Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year winner, Fernandes has missed just a handful of games since joining from Sporting Club in January 2020. The Portugal international has registered double figures for goals and assists in each of his full seasons and is on the cusp of becoming only the fourth overseas player to score 100 times for United. He’s led the Reds out in Europa League, Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup finals and continues to be a hugely influential figure in the dressing room.
