The winger played an important role in our Under-18s' success during the 2023/24 campaign, scoring seven times in 11 U18 Premier League games as the Reds claimed both the northern and national titles, as well as the Premier League Cup. Williams also featured in the EFL Trophy, the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League and became a regular presence in the Under-21s. He joined Cheltenham Town, in League Two, on loan in January 2025 and gained valuable senior experience with the Robins. That served him well ahead of joining United's senior squad for Tour 2025, presented by Snapdragon, during which he scored a memorable goal in a 4-1 friendly victory over AFC Bournemouth. He joined Scottish Premiership side Falkirk on loan in August.
