The energetic full-back arrived at United in January 2026, already equipped with experience of playing in the top leagues of Spain, Sweden and the United States, despite being just 23 years old.

Lundkvist's winter move from NWSL side San Diego Wave was confirmed on New Year's Day, having taken stints in with Atletico de Madrid, Hammarby and AIK before her Stateside adventure. Her first game for Sweden came against China in 2023, and her increasing importance to her national side was apparent as she started every match in Blagult's Euro 2025 campaign. Able to play on both the left and the right, the versatility of the full-back was put to full use in her first few months as a Red, starting on the right before switching flanks to cover for the injury of fellow Swede Anna Sandberg.
