Pacy and powerful, Galton is never more comfortable than when marauding down the flanks.
Leah is a dynamic winger who joined United in 2018 after spells in the USA, with Sky Blue FC, and Germany, where she played for Bayern Munich. The left-footer, who began her career with Leeds United before moving to the States in 2012, has been capped by England at under-age level and was previously selected to train with the senior squad. She made her debut for United in our first-ever game, against Liverpool in 2018, and was part of the squad that was promoted from the Championship at the end of that season. Leah enjoyed a personal-best campaign in 2022/23, scoring 12 times in all competitions as the Reds qualified for the Champions League and made it to a first-ever FA Cup final. She was then part of the side that lifted the FA Cup trophy at Wembley in May 2024, starting the final against Tottenham Hotspur. Galton is one of three surviving members of United’s ‘originals’, alongside Ella Toone and Millie Turner.
