Although born in Dagestan, Amir plays at international youth level for England.

A creative attacking force, capable of playing in a number of forward positions, he made two appearances for the Under-18s in 2023/24 before becoming a key player at that age group in the following campaign. As well as scoring eight and assisting six goals in 22 U18 Premier League appearances in 2024/25, Amir was a regular in our semi-finalist FA Youth Cup side, and played four times in Premier League 2 for the Under-21s. He also made headlines in the National League Cup, netting a vital winner in our 1-0 win at Rochdale, and scoring in our 4-0 victory at Altrincham.
