In 2024, Manchester United added lethal Women’s Super League striker Elisabeth Terland to our ranks.
Terland was already gaining attention at the age of 14, as she attended training with Norwegian top-flight side Klepp. She went on to make her Toppserien debut for the club just a year later. Such were her talents, she was simultaneously appearing for the side’s first team, youth team and multiple age categories for national side, Norway. A move to SK Brann followed, where she lifted the Toppserien title in 2021 with future Red Lisa Naalsund, before joining WSL side Brighton & Hove Albion a year later. She took the switch to English football in her stride, netting 20 goals in 39 appearances across two league seasons for the Seagulls. In the season immediately before her United arrival, her 13 league goals made her the division's joint-second highest scorer. She also notched double figures in her first campaign with the Reds, and has represented Norway at two European Championships.
