What are United’s digital collectibles?

United’s digital collectibles are historic pieces of club memorabilia that open up a new world, packed with special perks and exclusive access to United. They are much like real world collectibles (football stickers, replica shirts, matchday programmes) only each is unique and unlocks virtual and in-person events and rewards. Digital collectibles can do this because they can be instantly as easily identified on the blockchain as authentic. They can act as proof of ownership, or and as a ticket or pass that unlocks exclusive moments and more.

How much will United’s digital collectibles cost?

United's first official digital collectibles, 'The Keys', cost nothing - it was a gift to fans around the world! Further releases fans can pay for, such as 'The Devils', unlock bigger and better rewards. And there's a new collection out now! Inspired by the stories of United's iconic 1992/93 season, it gives you the chance to meet the legends behind the moments. Click here to check out the collection.

Are they the same as NFTs?

Yes. NFTs are Non-Fungible Tokens. “Non-fungible” simply means each one is completely unique, and “Token” because it lives on a blockchain. It’s an original asset you can own, that has a unique digital identity, and can be traded between users on a public blockchain like Tezos. NFTs often take the form of artwork, trading cards, comic books, sports collectibles, and games. While they are often associated with artwork, they are capable of much more.
