Tara Bourne said:

“To sign my first professional contract at a club like Manchester United is something myself and my family are immensely proud of and I can’t wait to continue my journey here. As a young player at the club, it’s so important to see the pathway to the first team and have those goals that you can reach. I want to thank the staff and players in both the Under-21s and first team and I’m excited to see what the future holds.

“I’m looking forward to being involved with Sheffield United for the new season, I am always learning and improving, and this experience will be no different for me. I know they will be up there pushing with the top teams in the Championship and I can’t wait to get started.”

Marc Skinner said:

“Tara is a fantastic talent and we are so happy that she has signed her first professional contract with the club. She has an incredible work ethic and maturity for her age and we are looking forward to seeing her develop over the next few years. The club has a rich history of bringing through youth, and it’s equally important on the women’s side to showcase the pathway for our young talent, and Tara is a brilliant example of the great work being done in those areas.

“This loan move to Sheffield United will help to give her valuable experience and minutes, it is a fiercely competitive league and we know it will really aid her development. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Tara throughout the season and we wish her the best of luck.”
