Jess Sigsworth to depart United Women
Manchester United can confirm that Jess Sigsworth will depart the club this month upon the expiry of her contract.
Sigsworth joined United in 2018 and claimed the league’s Golden Boot award at the end of our Championship-winning season.
Boosted by her five-goal haul in the 12-0 win at Aston Villa on the opening day of the campaign, Jess netted 17 times in 19 league games as the Reds swept to the title at the first time of asking.
She went on to make 28 top-flight appearances for the club, helping us to secure consecutive fourth-placed finishes in the Barclays FA Women's Super League.
Jess’s 26 goals in 66 appearances for United place her third in our all-time scorers’ list, behind only Ella Toone and Lauren James.
