Manchester United took a point from the trip to Chelsea, making it 20 unbeaten Premier League games on the road.
The Reds and Thomas Tuchel's men played out a goalless draw after controversy in the first half when referee Stuart Attwell opted not to award a penalty following a handball by Callum Hudson-Odoi inside the box, as he jostled for the ball with Mason Greenwood.
Chances were at a premium at both ends but Hakim Ziyech and Scott McTominay probably came closest to scoring.
