Final date in Spain for Amad

Manchester United's Amad is ending the season on a high with Rangers after the Glasgow giants booked a place at the Europa League final.

Ibrox was bouncing as the Scottish side overcame much-fancied RB Leipzig 3-1, 3-2 on aggregate, on a night to remember for those inside the famous old stadium.

James Tavernier and Glen Kamara overturned the first-leg deficit but highly rated forward Christopher Nkunku pulled one back in the 70th minute to level the tie.

It took a goal 10 minutes later, from John Lundstram, to spark wild celebrations among the home fans.

Amad expressed his love for his loan club on social media afterwards, after being an unused substitute, along with the likes of Steven Davis and Aaron Ramsey.

He will hope to appear in the final against Eintracht Frankfurt, after the Bundesliga side ensured German representation in Seville with a 1-0 (3-1 aggregate) victory over 10-man West Ham United. Rafael Santos Borre scored the only goal and former United manager David Moyes was shown a red card late on after defender Aaron Cresswell's early dismissal.

The big game will take place on Wednesday 18 May at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, kicking off at 20:00 BST.

Former United youngster Charlie McCann, who has made a couple of first-team appearances in the Scottish Cup this term, was also part of the celebrations as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men aim to finish the campaign in style with a first European trophy since lifting the Cup Winners' Cup in 1971/72.

The Gers did reach the UEFA Cup final in 2008, losing to Zenit St Petersburg in Manchester.

Meanwhile, in the Europa Conference League, ex-Reds boss Jose Mourinho steered Roma past Leicester City 1-0 on the night (2-1 on aggregate) with a Tammy Abraham header proving decisive. The Serie A club will meet Dutch outfit Feyenoord in the final.
