Andreas challenges ePL champion to FIFA 19 match

Tuesday 05 March 2019 14:03

Andreas Pereira was among the millions of supporters following our ePremier League Club Play-off event on Monday evening.

In the aftermath, the Manchester United Academy graduate directly challenged one of the winners to a game of FIFA 19!

Ole Trafford hosted 27 gamers in the stadium’s No.7 Suite, where they took part in a couple of knockout-style tournaments that were played on PS4 and XBOX.

That PlayStation side of the competition was won by lifelong United fan and local lad Kyle Leese, who was in complete shock when speaking to us afterwards.

“I am very proud to have won,” he said. “I was born in Manchester and I am playing for the club that I support. You can't beat it.”

Andreas thinks you can beat it – or, more accurately, he thinks he can beat Kyle!

The Brazil international, fresh from scoring a world-class goal against Southampton at the weekend, was among the first to comment on a post from our official Instagram account that had declared Leese the winner on PS4,.

“I will beat the winner easy” he posted on the club’s story.

As a result, it is hoped that a one-off exhibition match can be set up when Kyle potentially visits the Aon Training Complex later this season, along with the XBOX champion Josh Jones – another lifelong United fan.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IN THE EPL?

Our two United representative, Kyle and Josh, can now look forward to competing in the ePremier League Grand Final in London on 28 and 29 March.
